Interview spree!

Why work in Chennai?
Despite the Hot, Hotter, and Hottest rounds of Chennai climate yet it has promised the best of pay in corporate service for starters or freshers!

Me back in Chennai for the fourth consecutive year and this time for some starting in the corporate services and was quite doing well. Wanting to have a starting with a five digit salary and that was delivered as expected. whoa!

However, my other side of nature: adventurous, wild and humor had tapped me and arouse in me a spirit of curiosity and soon found myself chatting with our previous Asst Director in Loyola Hostel in odd hours in the night. (silence hours in which i often laugh so loudly!) He had recommended a field for me to which he thinks I'd be doing good and also add that the challenge lies in explaining myself! He reminde me before i left, "You need to boast yourselves, friend."

This interview spree was more or less a test to it, to knowing it and to find results and i guess some are really a good place where i can earn and grow.
I selected 11 corporate houses to where I think my papers and standards fits me in. (you can say certificates and edn qualification) I knew I can broke all hell loose but won't be regretting for it.

Here we are in some order maybe chronological or alphabetical!
Names of the companies mentioned here are fictitious and I'm mentioning the interview rounds only.

Azure: After three rounds of test I was called for three rounds of interview which were in quick schedules. The last round was a three is to one interview. One male and two other females.

After I was bombarded with many questions from the three the guy finally was nearing to a conclusion. Looking straight into my eyes he asked,
"Francis, maybe if we want you to be working with us, will you be giving your best?"
" That is what I'm here for, ready to giving my best for growth"
No other question and saying they'll keep me posted I left the place. (very easy interview but the test was quite tough)

Result: Selected

Amusement: Work earlier as a contrator. I was tepmrorarily hired while their President was away on his US and Europe tour.
While I was on my system eating grapes which he'd bought from Amsterdam I was informed that he wants to meet me! I quickly went upstairs and slowly stepped into his office.
Normal things he asked and I think I had given him a satisfying answer. This time it was me who fixed the date of joining. I guess that his subordinates had too well mentioned that I had achieved or cross every target that they had for me every day! All's too well.

Result: selected.
Salary: I can ask and they can give and money won't be a matter if I joined. I just will love to work with them.
Comment: They asked me a minimum for two years bond.

Almost: Three tier test and three rounds of interview. The first and the last two round had a fifteen days gap.
Two is to one for the final round.

Two females and I was quite uneasy. I guess that the other person won't be asking. The other lady started and asking me to go through my resume and since I felt that the air ain't heavy I picked my teaching experience and unluckily conversation was ended somewhere! Blast me! I thought to myself. Hmmn. "Teaching through fun"...Nah...why this way, Education is entertainment! it should go like this and why at times did I forgot so often! Fun was extracted. I started loosing my mood! Another question on why I want to join the company? I'm about to say, It promise best of growth and as per to my ratings it was one of the most prestigious corporate house in Chennai. But I wasn't saying what I think and rather comes "Nice people!" I knew the next moment we all burst out laughing and the lady manager had the loudest laugh! Its over and she says shell give a call the day or the next day and i left her with the extra resume I had with me!

Result: Rejected
Comment; Well I might have not deserved. I never regret till then as it was the funniest interview I ever had! So nice with nice people...but the negative was that it was where and the only place I got rejection. Anyway I got call again from them!

Fiddle: Three tier test and the most challenging test I ever had until then. Out of 28 candidates 8of us make it to the interview rounds which will be of three more rounds. Two technical rounds and one final HR round. One HR personnel was briefing us how to face these interviews. She got lots of questions from me and I got a very much satisfying answer. Was proud that I'm the only one from Arts stream, rest are of backgrounds like B. Sc./M Sc. Maths, M/B.Com and M. Sc. Chem. I was guessing if it has to do something with Science background.

All interviews are two is to one interviews and a very hair rising ones when candidates before me are leaving after sometime without making to seccond level. My time has come.
As I sit in front of the two guys, normal interview questions are asked followed by techincal question which was very much new but give attempt. Cleared and make to the next technical round
The second round was much more relaxed. (a lady and a guy). The first question was if I have a passport. One question was how long will three people together take to fill a bottle if one take one hour to fill one bottle. The got the question of one hour as the time was based in the cork size of the bottle. Another was the weight of 1kg of cotton and 1kg of iron which can be differentiated in their weight depending on the kinds of measure.

The final HR round was a bit lengthy, I keep repeating the same answer for the same question of the tell me about yourself. This HR lady never kept her eyes off me comparing to the other fellow. Neither did she wink or paused me. All her ears and eyes are on my mouth and eyes. We are talking of flexibility, shifts, etc. etc.

Result: Selected
Comment: I didn't join because of family recall and the one I most regret until then. Will apply again and what and how will I tell why I didn't join that time. That was another of my rare cases of stupidity.

Its gonna be long...My fingers aching..lets stop boasting!!!
