The magic spring

Once upon a time in China (lets cut short the story)....The spring had a magic, whoever drinks it become young again. The first one who drank was an old man who drank a little and become middle aged. He realize his becoming when his wife mistook him. His wife too drink and she had too much that she became a baby and her husband had to look after her.

What is we live a reverse life?! From old age back to youth! Our wrinkling tissues being revived and finally ends where we came from. If life starts from dust and then with white hairs, less hairs and no hair at all, finally into sperm and then to nothingness. Souls turns to dust, dust to life, life turns to nothing!

Wisdom degraded to knowledge, knowledge redraws to curiosity, curiosity rewind to learning, learning revived to the initials and then again to nothing.

Aged to youth, real love to erotic love, born wise to be fool, weakness to energy, brain to brawn, theory to practical, regrets to forget, enimity to reconcliation, everything to nothing.

Summer break

Why I always longed for summer breaks and how I always manage so far!

Life so different under one sun. Places so incomparable. Terrain sometimes so misleading. Sometimes you are under the sun and you are under the roof but you are never under the woods. You are by the roads that stretch afar with all sorts of people and their troubles and you are not by a riverside with the different chirping sounds.

When summer is around man made materials tried to cooling it down. We got AC, fan, fridge, water sports etc. but the heat always remains. And the temperature never seems to understand us and to have some compensation is reduction.

Not being born and bought up here was my drawback in beating summer in Chennai. I always complain. I was always ready to lose my whatever in exchange for a summer break and so did I. Always ready to sacrifice my job, comfort life...etc not inclusive of friends and true love which I have yet to experience!! Eh...

How I wish to have a summer break and revisit the 4miles river for a hunt, fish or for a swim. How I wish to scale the length two and half stretch by swimming with face-up. I knew I was still scare of a one particular deep I was once pulled by a hand from below but I wanna try again! This time I should try in the day and not in the night. (Last time it was a swim at night 2pm). How we survived when our raft broke in the middle of a deep river and swimming to the banks full of reeds with snakes.

It was a woods far away from home, a jungle full of animals, a river full of sports, fun and fish. Days goes in merry adventure games and nights comes with scary adventure. We are always happy when having a first timer amongst us. It was a blessing...a real fun testing if he had boast before. Trapping wild animals was sure the best. The taste of the wild is incomparable to domestics. If environment and forest dept knew of our blunders...well i don't have anything to say. Yes the taste of the spot cook of a fresh water fish was something like that could only be served by the river or otherwise in heaven. Its not a food for thought or whatever a super chef might coined, it was a food for soul. the taste healed everything....It had you, makes you forget everything except that you are by a river. You will ask who is your lover's name because you don't know at this time!!

It is summer but you find no problem about weather. Grass is green and animals are fat. Prawn are getting bigger and crabs are of any values. Fishes snail getting better. their tummies are now all white. Harpoons are sharpened. Knives are well sharpened. Soldiers are coming home. (guys are doing good in the army with these jungle instinct and are coming home) Guns are locked and loaded. Gears are ready with equipments.

Summer...here I come to answer the long call of the woods.

The Seekers from LETC

It was my first official direction of a play.

A great deal of help comes from wonderful actors all over India who turned out to be my classmate. eh! got one from Dubai as well, others from places like Goa, Mumbai, Orissa, Kerela, Sri Lanka Trichy and Chennai itself and etc. So confidence was theirs on me that they started borrowing books from library otherwise they might end up their three years of college without having a book home from library. Even have a stick in my hand while we are at practice and I wonder when will things like that happen again to me.

Practice and training are always boring if we wanted to excel and they got that. It was a real nice picture when asking them to start all over again after three hours of practice without rest. But no one's complaining.

The aftermath was all theirs, Out of the four plays staged in the grand annual LETC Theatre Fest the seekers got selected to be restaged for the National Level English Conference held in the college just two days after. (The other one was The Flaw.) The play was succesfully restaged witnessed by Ms Anne Kuriachen an English professor from Women's College, who was among the biggest contributor for LETC.

A big thanks for all the actors Oswald, Gavin, Kevin, Dominic, Dickens, Ferrin, Aniston, Anthony, Bosco and all other reserved actors.

Can't forget David Welsey (Dept Secy), Saravanan (Club Secy) and SriKant (Class CR) and all others Stage managers, supports, staffs.

Posted at this day as LETC geard up for the new session with new adrenalin.

Today is Alex's birthday

My old buddy and tutor....He was supposed to be my tutor but how we spend days were...Hmmn I missed those days, fun and frolic, lazy days, baldy heady days, winter years, months full of summers, courting weeks, teaching me how to flirt as he was a living example!! Oh! those alibis..

I was chatting with my sister over phone when she tells me whose birthday it was....
Oh April fool! What a coincidence!! What a day and having all the fool and the more fools from friends and he'd be the one to be having and receiving all the ends in a birthday..

It happened that my dear buddy was celebrating his birthday in school doing some construction work..yes repairing classroom walls along with his fellow staff members and school students.

Instead of cake it was big loaf of bread and the dao(a big multipurpose dag) was a knife. Papers were burnt as candles and the wine happened to be a red tea. Nice thing that everyone else was treating it as free lunch. I was hoping everyone likes bread this day and praying that they eat well. I hope that they'd be hungry.
There was a yellow line so that students doesn't see what and how really was the celebration! But I knew they will be knowing. They are good and clever students. They know what is yellow in the school.

Anyway....wishing you a happy and a blessed birthday. May the good God showers his blessings abundantly upon you and your family.
